This is our last newsletter for the “straight on” challenge, where I talk about 90° camera angle or flat lay in food photography.
This angle has become very popular in the last period.
– it’s the best angle to practice your skills in compositions, but it’s also the most challenging one for this reason;
– it’s the best angle for shooting with mobile, because of its wide-angle lens,
– this angle is the best when it comes to storytelling.
We discuss what kind of foods works perfectly with this angle and I also share what you have to pay attention to when using this angle.
A good flat-lay is a combination of a good composition, a mix of textures, and storytelling.
I love creating flat lay food photography images when I want to practice composition. You may notice I love creating different kinds of challenges and exercises, and in this newsletter, I share with you my most favorite exercise for practicing compositions.
