Italian Spaghetti with Shrimps and White Wine

This recipe is so simple and incredibly delicious. If you love sea-food, this dish can’t be missing at your table. Also, because for preparing this Spaghetti with Shrimps and While Wine you need only a few ingredients.

You can make this dish healthier by using wholegrain spaghetti, or if you have a gluten-free diet, you can buy the ones made from buckwheat or rice flour. I also recommend to use sweeter cherry tomatoes and a good wine, they will give an extra taste, you will not achieve otherwise. I have this recipe from one of my friends, and over the last years I have made it so many times. Finally, I ‘ve decided to publish it on my blog.

Recipe for Spaghetti with Shrimps and White Wine

Nutrition facts: 200 calories 20 grams fat


  • 400 g spaghetti
  • 20 raw shrimps (best are whole with the head)
  • 350 g cherry tomatoes
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped


  1. Clean the garlic, wash the tomatoes and cut them in half.
  2. Rinse the prawns under running water and dry with a paper towel.
  3. Heat a little bit of olive oil in a deep skillet and fry the shrimps over medium heat. Let it roast for about 3 minutes, turn to the other side for the other 3 minutes.
  4. Then, place the shrimps on a plate. In the same pan, add a piece of olive oil and garlic cloves. Sautè over low heat until the garlic turns golden.
  5. Then add the sliced ​​tomatoes and let them simmer over low heat until the tomatoes soften and release the juice.
  6. Stir it from time to time, to let the tomatoes cook evenly.
  7. Add roasted shrimps, salt, and cover with white wine.
  8. Increase the heat to maximum and bring it to a boil. Then, lower the heat to low/medium, and let it simmer for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. The alcohol in the wine evaporates during cooking and the wine leaves an excellent taste.
  9. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in the usual way in slightly salted water with 2 tablespoons of oil. While the pasta is cooking, the shrimp sauce will be finished.
  10. If you prefer, you can clean the shrimps before serving. Otherwise, you can serve whole shrimps together with pasta.
  11. When spaghetti is cooked, add them to the sauce (eventually together with the cleaned shrimps)
    Combine all well and serve with a glass of white wine.

It is recommended to cook whole prawns with your head, which will give the food an excellent taste.


It's a dairy free recipe. For gluten-free alternative, choose glutenfree pasta (buckwheat, rice, etc). This dish is lactose-free & dairy-free.
