Thank you so much again to all who joined the photography challenge The Number 3. Your images were absolutely stunning! I am so so happy to see you creating, learning something new and having fun with the challenges.
Let me introduce the new challenge for this week – HARSH LIGHT.
Harsh light is not very used in food photography but it is so much fun to work with.
You can choose the main subject to photograph. It’s up to you. It can be anything you like, such as drinks, meals, water with lemon, some ingredients, fruits, vegetables, spices, etc.
You can make a simple minimalistic image, you can use the rule of 3, you can make a macro shot, or anything else. You just have to make this image with a direct sun (harsh light).
New to a Harsh Light?
If you are new at photography and/or you have never worked with a harsh light before, you can read my blog post about how I shoot with a harsh light. I write the behind the scenes of how I created this image:

Be creative, play with shadows, make them part of the composition. Try to capture them diagonally, it makes the image more dynamic.
