Gluten-free and easy to prepare

For this recipe you don’t need any yeast or prepare the dough in advance. It takes 15 minutes to make it, then you set it aside for other 10 or 15 minutes. I prepared it as a snack, when we had guests for dinner. They loved it a lot, especially a friend that has a celiac disease. It’s impossible to find gluten-free grissini around, even if you live in Italy.

The recipe ingredients are calculated for 2 people, so you can make about 20-22 grissini. However if you need to make more, just double or triple the ingredients. While preparing, make sure the dough is softer (easy to break) and not very hard. As there is no gluten, you need to work with it very gently, it’s easy to break while shaping the sticks.

No oil for baking and how to store them

You don’t need any oil for baking these grissini. Just place a parchment paper on the baking pan and place shaped grissini on top. So easy and healthy.

As these grissini are home-made, it’s best to eat them freshly made. If you need, you can prepare the dough and store it in a fridge for a day or two. Surely, you can also store made grissini in a fabric towel or in a plastic bag, again for a day or two.
